Hinduism and Buddhism?

Hinduism and Buddhism, have common origins in the Ganges culture of northern India during the so-called second urbanisation around 500 BCE.They have shared parallel beliefs that have existed side by side, but also pronounced differences.
Buddhism attained prominence in the Indian subcontinent as it was supported by royal courts, but started to decline after the Gupta era, and virtually disappeared in the 11th century CE, except in some pockets of India. It has continued to exist outside of India and is the major religion in several East Asian countries. |
Maurya Empire History?

The Maurya Empire, also known as the Mauryan Empire, was a geographically extensive Iron Age historical power in ancient India, ruled by the Maurya dynasty from 322–185 BCE. Originating from the kingdom of Magadha in the Indo-Gangetic Plain (modern Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh) in the eastern side of the Indian subcontinent, the empire had its capital city at Pataliputra (modern Patna). The Empire was founded in 322 BCE by Chandragupta Maurya, who had overthrown the Nanda Dynasty and rapidly expanded his power westwards across central and western india, alongside Chanakya's help, taking advantage of the disruptions of local powers in the wake of the withdrawal westward by Alexander the Great's armies. By 316 BCE the empire had fully occupied Northwestern India, defeating and conquering the satraps left by Alexander.Chandragupta then defeated the invasion led by Seleucus I, a Macedonian general from Alexander's army, gaining additional territory west of the Indus River. |
Lakshmi Tatma?

Lakshmi Tatma is an Indian girl born in 2005 in a village in Araria district, Bihar, having "4 arms and 4 legs." She was actually one of a pair of ischiopagus conjoined twins one of which was headless because its head had atrophied and chest had not fully developed in the womb, causing the appearance of one child with four arms and four legs. Her father, Shambhu, and mother, Poonam, were day laborers who earned less than 40 rupeesper day, and were unable to afford a separation surgery for their daughter. The daughter was named after Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth (who is depicted as four-armed). She was sometimes an object of worship as an incarnation of the goddess; by the age of 2 (age of 1 in the US), she was known all over India. At one point, a circus offered the couple a sum of money to buy Lakshmi as a sideshow, which forced the family into hiding. At the time of being found by Dr. Sharan Patil, she was suffering from an infected pressure ulcer at the neck end of the parasitic twin and continuous fevers.

Caste System In India?

The caste system in idea is a system of social stratification which has pre-modern origins, was transformed by the British Raj, and is today the basis of reservation in india. It consists of two different concepts, varna and jati, which may be regarded as different levels of analysis of this system. Varna may be translated as class, and refers to the four social classes which existed in the Vedic society, namely Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras.

The Indus Valley Civilization (IVC) was a Bronze Age civilisation (3300–1300 BCE; mature period 2600–1900 BCE, pre-Harappan cultures starting c.7500 BCE) in northwest Indian subcontinent (including present day Pakistan, northwest India) and also in some regions in northeast Afghanistan.
